Easy Imposter Game Words

Every word here is a common, concrete object — apple, chair, phone, shoe — rather than an abstract idea or a niche reference. That matters for a first round: new players spend their mental effort learning the flow of the game (describe, listen, vote), not decoding an obscure word.

Concrete objects also give the imposter an easier bluff. Even without knowing the secret word, most people can improvise a believable sentence about a chair or a tree, which keeps the round from ending in an obvious three-second giveaway.

The secret word is "banana." Normal players might say "you peel it," "it's yellow," or "monkeys like it." A player without the word can usually piece together a plausible guess from just one or two of those clues — which is exactly the point for a first game.
